# Plans and Credits

> What is free, what LoWisa Plus and LoWisa Plus Max include in the phone app and the desktop IDE, how credits and top-ups work, and how to restore or cancel a subscription.

LoWisa is free to download and every course starts free. Plans open the rest of the app and include a monthly amount of credits.

## What is free

- Level 0 of every course, with its checkpoint and flashcards.
- A free Insight episode for Level 0 of the app's own courses.
- 20 credits, awarded once on first install.
- Your first CV, and Level 1 of interview practice.

## The plans

On the phone, subscribe from the plans page in the app: on Android you pay through Google Play, on iPhone through the App Store. Prices can differ slightly by country because of local currency and taxes; the store shows your exact price before you confirm.

For the desktop IDE, subscribe in the [pricing section](/#pricing) of this site, then in the IDE open **Settings**, go to **Subscription**, enter the email you subscribed with and press **Activate Subscription**. A plan bought on the web works on the phone too: activate it from your profile with the same email. Plans bought on Google Play or the App Store are active in the phone app straight away. ## Credits and top-ups

A credit is one cent of AI, billed at exact provider cost. Credits are used when the tutor creates something new for you, such as a lesson, a voice answer or an episode. If you run low before the month ends, add a top-up: 500 credits for $5 or 1,000 credits for $10.

When your credits run out, the app shows the plans and top-ups right where you are, so you can continue without losing your place.

## Restore, change or cancel

- **Restore purchases**: on a new phone, open the plans page and tap Restore purchases.
- **Change plan**: choose the other plan on the plans page; the store handles the switch.
- **Cancel on Android**: Google Play, then Payments and subscriptions, then Subscriptions, then LoWisa.
- **Cancel on iPhone**: Settings, then your name, then Subscriptions, then LoWisa.

Cancelling stops the next renewal; your plan stays active until the end of the period you paid for. For anything else, see [Support](/support/).
