Checkpoints and Flashcards

Finishing a lesson and remembering it next month are different things. Every level in LoWisa ends with a checkpoint and a deck of flashcards, so you test yourself while it is fresh and have something to revise with later.

Where to find them

On the path map, each level shows its lessons followed by Checkpoint & flashcards. It opens when you finish the level's lessons.

How a deck works

  1. Choose how many cards. The deck starts with a number that covers every lesson in the level. Use fewer or more, or type your own number.
  2. Answer before you flip. Say the answer to yourself, then tap the card to see it. Turn on Shuffle to mix the order.
  3. Mark each card. Tap Know it or Still learning. Cards you are still learning come back in the next round until you know them.
  4. Revise later. The deck stays on the level, ready to run again after a day and after a week. See Active recall and flashcards.

Cards test the real topics of the level, not the analogies used to explain them, so they match what an exam or an interview asks.

On a free level

Level 0 of every course is free, including its checkpoint and flashcards. After the free deck, the app shows the plans that open the rest of the course. See Plans and credits.
